Thank you 2023 for all the lessons! 2024 Wedding Trends

For many people the New Year is a fantastic time to start new habits and to wipe the slate clean of all that has happened in the previous year. I can only say "Thank you 2023 for all the lessons learned, and 2024 I am ready for you!"

In 2023 we had the opportunity to meet and work with so many wonderful people as we hosted their events at our venue. We congratulated wedding couples, welcomed mamas-to-be at their baby showers, celebrated brides-to-be, hosted birthday parties, photography sessions, and even a women's card club. Along the way, we made improvements to both property and processes all in the best interests of our guests.

We are ready for all that 2024 has to offer, and, more than anything, we can't wait to share our beautiful venue with you!

Here are a few trends that we see coming for the 2024 wedding season.

Couples seem to be eager to break away from tradition and embrace options that allow them to express their individuality within less structure. In 2024, look for more unique wedding dress codes that will promote creativity and self-expression. Wedding attire may include bridal jumpsuits and unconventional dresses in vibrant, bold colors, and mix-and-match separates are becoming more “normal” choices. We have seen this evolving as our micro-wedding couples are "doing it their way" and skipping past traditional options. They are also encouraging their guests to do the same.

Don't be surprised to see more themed weddings such as “vintage glam” dress codes or one that encourages guests to wear their favorite country western attire to attend the very popular barn wedding. Couples will look to add that extra layer of fun and excitement to their celebration as they invite their guests to be part of their wedding theme. A recent article in Vogue describes 2024 couples as asking for "non-wedding weddings." "They’re wanting to celebrate their love with their family and friends but not stick to all the stuffy traditions." We've already seen this happening at our venue where menus are more of a casual, family-style food such as a backyard BBQ or even a taco bar. The micro-wedding is becoming even more popular as couples are having smaller more intimate ceremonies with larger, separate parties at another location at another time. We've even seen smaller bridal parties or no bridal parties at all as mentioned in the article. Click on the link below for more of what Vogue has to say about 2024 wedding trends. These trends are some of the ways we'll see couples telling their unique love stories in memorable and meaningful ways in 2024, and we can't wait to be part of it. https://www.vogue.com/article/wedding-trends-2024

So as we flip the calendar, set our goals and resolutions, and welcome in 2024, we thank each and every one of you for choosing The Vintage Farmhaus as your venue, and we look forward to welcoming our guests in 2024. It is truly our pleasure to host you at our venue for your next special event!

Happy New Year 2024!
